We talk a lot about desire.
About calling things in.
About manifesting more.
More abundance.
More clients or promotions.
More visibility.
More opportunities.
More impact.
We're encouraged to get crystal clear on what we want, to write the vision, speak the affirmation, and believe it's already on its way.
But here's the question I don't hear enough:
Are you ready to hold what you're asking for?
Because readiness isn't just about wanting more.
It's about having the capacity to receive it.
Desire is beautiful.
It's the spark that moves us toward what's possible.
But desire alone doesn't create sustainable expansion.
Imagine asking for a thriving business while already feeling overwhelmed by the clients you have.
Imagine working towards a promotion but feel on edge when your boss walks in.
Imagine wanting more visibility while every notification sends your nervous system into overdrive.
Imagine dreaming of financial abundance while carrying the constant fear that it could disappear just as quickly as it arrived.
Imagine having the relationship you've always wanted but not being emotionally ready for it to succeed.
The desire is real.
But your body may still be preparing for survival instead of success.
That isn't failure.
It's information.
One of the biggest shifts in my own journey came when I stopped asking,
"How do I get more?"
and started asking,
"Can my life actually hold more?"
Could my calendar hold more without sacrificing my peace?
Could my nervous system hold more responsibility without slipping into survival mode?
Could my relationships support the version of me I was becoming?
Could I receive more without immediately feeling the need to prove I deserved it?
These questions changed everything.
Because growth isn't only about reaching the next level.
It's about creating the capacity to live there.
We often assume that fear is what keeps us from expanding.
Sometimes it is.
But sometimes the real obstacle is something quieter.
Exhaustion.
When you've spent years pushing through fatigue, overriding your body's signals, and carrying more than you were ever meant to carry, "more" doesn't feel exciting.
It feels heavy.
Even beautiful opportunities can register as additional pressure when your nervous system is already overloaded.
That doesn't mean you're not ready for success.
It means your body is asking for support before it asks for more.
We've been taught that every new level demands another sacrifice.
More hours.
More pressure.
Less rest.
Less space.
Less life.
But what if we've been measuring readiness by the wrong standard?
What if readiness isn't about how much you're willing to sacrifice?
What if it's about how well you're supported?
Support isn't a reward you earn after success.
It's what makes success sustainable.
You don't have to give up your peace to grow.
You don't have to abandon your values to become visible.
You don't have to hustle yourself into exhaustion to prove you're committed.
The strongest foundations are built before the expansion arrives.
If you're asking for more this season, begin by strengthening what already exists.
Create rhythms that allow for both effort and recovery.
Protect space for rest before your calendar demands it.
Develop systems that support you instead of depending entirely on you.
Practice receiving help.
Celebrate consistency over intensity.
Most importantly, let your nervous system experience growth as something safe.
Because when your body trusts that expansion won't cost you yourself, it stops resisting the very thing you've been praying for.
Pause for a moment.
Instead of asking,
"Why isn't it here yet?"
Try asking,
"What would help me feel more resourced to receive it?"
That question invites compassion instead of criticism.
Preparation instead of pressure.
Support instead of self-sacrifice.
And that's the kind of readiness that lasts.
You don't need to become someone else to receive more.
You don't need to hustle your way into worthiness.
You simply need to become more resourced.
Because when your life, your nervous system, and your heart have the capacity to hold what's coming…
Growth no longer feels overwhelming.
It feels like coming home to the version of you who was ready all along.
May you always stay true to your intentions, true to your heart's desires & speak loving truth to those around you. Love ya!
