Healthy Boundaries Start by Listening to Your Body

July 16, 20261 min read

When most people think about boundaries, they think about conversations.

Learning how to say no.

Speaking up.

Setting limits.

While those things matter, I've discovered that healthy boundaries actually begin somewhere much quieter.

They begin by listening.

Not to everyone else's expectations.

To your own body.

Our bodies often recognize misalignment before our minds can explain it. A tight chest, tense shoulders, or a heavy feeling in your stomach can all be gentle signals that something doesn't feel quite right.

Yoga gives us the opportunity to slow down enough to notice those signals.

As we move with intention and breathe deeply, we begin reconnecting with our own inner wisdom. We learn the difference between what feels expansive and what feels restrictive. Over time, those sensations help us make decisions that honor our energy instead of draining it.

That's what this yoga practice is all about.

Not becoming more rigid.

Not building walls.

Simply learning to trust yourself again.

If you've been giving more than you have to give, I invite you to join me for this practice and explore what healthy boundaries can feel like from the inside out.
